Paper prices set to increase for consumers

The Indian Paper Manufacturers Association (IPMA) has warned of a "far-reaching adverse impact" from the GST hike on paper and paperboard to 18% from 12%. This will lead to higher prices of paper products affecting education, packaging, MSMEs, and consumers, with IPMA estimating over ₹500 crore in locked working capital, mainly affecting small businesses.
