Oil India discovers gas reserves in Andaman offshore area

Oil India Limited (OIL) confirmed natural gas occurrence in its second exploratory well, Vijayapuram-2. Preliminary analysis shows gas presence, with further studies to determine the discovery's origin and potential. This marks the first reported occurrence in OIL's Andaman offshore exploration campaign, covering 10,000 sq km. OIL aims for ₹1 lakh crore in annual revenues by 2030.
