Vodafone Idea seeks interest, penalty waiver in Supreme Court

Vodafone Idea filed an amended petition in the Supreme Court seeking a waiver of interest and penalty on AGR dues, citing similar demands accepted in earlier cases. The company also requested a recalculation of AGR liabilities. The Supreme Court has deferred the hearing to October 6. VIL owes around Rs 83,400 crore in AGR dues, with estimated total liabilities of nearly Rs 2 lakh crore.
