Anthology Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US after a failed attempt to sell the company. The education-software provider combined with Blackboard in 2021 and was financed with roughly $1.8 billion in term loans. Higher interest rates and customer attrition made debt unmanageable. Stalking horse bidder Ellucian was selected for Anthology's Enterprise Operations.
