F&O series starts with record-low FII long exposure

Nifty 50 index gained 110 points in the September F&O series, its third consecutive negative return. Historically, October series has been mixed, with a 2024 outlier correction of over 2,000 points. At the start of the October series, FII net long positioning is 6%, FIIs are net short 1.76 lakh contracts and open interest is 1.71 crore shares.
