FPIs cut equity selling in September

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) remained net sellers of Indian equities in six out of nine months of 2025, selling $17.6 billion worth of equities so far. FPI investment in new issues decreased to $5 billion in the first nine months of 2025, lower than $7.9 billion in the prior year, amid a surge in IPOs. Domestic funds invested ₹3.7 lakh crore so far, up from ₹2.8 lakh crore in 2024.
