Tata Motors reclaimed India's No. 2 passenger vehicle position in September, overtaking Hyundai and Mahindra. Strong sales of SUVs and electric vehicles drove the surge, with 40,594 registrations (28% year-over-year increase) and a 70% share of the mass EV market, significantly ahead of MG Motor's volumes. Market leader Maruti Suzuki held the top position with 122,278 units.
