IHC buys $1 billion stake in Sammaan Capital for Indian real estate bet

IHC is investing Rs 8,850 crore ($997.7 million) in Sammaan Capital, a non-banking financial company (NBFC), acquiring a 43.5% stake. This investment will trigger an open offer to buy an additional 26%. IHC plans to use its global expertise and technology to accelerate Sammaan's growth, supporting affordable housing and mid-market mortgages in India's Rs 33 lakh crore housing finance segment.
