Nifty Metal index rises 1.8% on global positives

The Nifty Metal index rose 1.8% to 10,273.15, driven by Tata Steel's 3.4% gain to Rs 173.26, National Aluminium Company's 3.5% rise to Rs 221.89, and Hindalco's 2.2% increase to Rs 782.95. The global cues turned supportive, with expectations of a U.S. Fed rate cut and European Union's plan to raise tariffs, and traders pricing a U.S. Fed 25 basis-point rate cut this month.
