CarbonCapture Inc.'s subsidiary True North Carbon is building a commercial direct air capture system in Alberta, Canada, which will have the ability to capture 2,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year. The move was due to more stable government incentives and support in Canada. Canada offers a 60% investment tax credit for DAC projects.
