Union Minister Piyush Goyal visited Doha, Qatar, from 6-7 October 2025, meeting Qatar Development Bank CEO Abdulrahman Hesham Al-Sowaidi. Goyal co-chaired the India-Qatar Joint Commission on Economic and Commercial Cooperation and launched India's UPI system at Lulu Hypermarket in Doha, enabling seamless cross-border transactions. This move aims to strengthen financial ties with Qatar.
