Pharma shares rise as Trump considers exempting generics from tariffs

Pharma shares rose 4% as a US report said the Trump administration is considering exempting generic drugs from tariffs. Aurobindo Pharma and Lupin led gains with 4% and 3.4% respectively. Dr Reddy's Labs and Zydus Lifesciences shares rose 2% and 1.4%. Lupin planned a new US manufacturing unit, a $250 million investment over five years, sparking a rally in the stocks.
