TCS workforce drops below 600,000 for the first time in three years

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reported 593,314 employees at the end of Q2 FY26, a 3.2% sequential decline and below the six-lakh mark for the first time in over three years. The company recorded a one-time restructuring expense of ₹1,135 crore and a 0.8% sequential rise in constant currency revenue, with EBIT margins expanding 70 basis points to 25.2%.
