Market gains for second week, driven by FII support and IT stocks

For the week ending October 10, the BSE Sensex index gained 1.59% to 82,500.82, and the Nifty50 rose 1.57% to 25,285.35. The Nifty Capital Market and IT indices led the gains, up 5%, with TCS adding the most in terms of market value. FIIs turned net buyers after 12 weeks, purchasing Rs 2975.53 crore, while DII remained net buyers, purchasing Rs 8391.11 crore.
