Fresh tariffs and sanctions between the US and China have reignited a trade war. Shaun Rein, Managing Director of the China Market Research Group, said China can afford a trade war, but the US cannot, due to domestic pressure from evangelical Christians and Trump's weakened stance on China. China has reduced its reliance on the US and is diversifying its trade partnerships.
