India Lands $300 million Container Ship Order with CMA CGM's Help

CMA CGM, the world's third-largest container shipping company, signed a $300 mn deal with Cochin Shipyard to build six LNG-fuelled box ships in India. The deal marks the first-ever container ship order by a global mainline operator in India. Rodolphe Saadé praised PM Modi's business approach, solidifying India's position as a global shipbuilding player, aiming for top 10 by 2030 and top 5 by 2047.
