HDFC Life shares decline 5% after Q2 results underwhelm investors

HDFC Life Insurance's shares fell 4.6% to Rs 726.15 due to a marginal 3% year-on-year rise in consolidated profit at Rs 448 crore for Q2 FY26. Net premium income rose 14% YoY to Rs 18,871 crore, but sequential PAT dropped 18% from Rs 548 crore. Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Nuvama maintain 'overweight', 'buy', and 'buy' ratings respectively with target prices of Rs 875, Rs 865, and Rs 910.
