Ashok Leyland bags ₹669 crore Tamil Nadu bus order

Ashok Leyland Ltd. won a ₹668.76 crore order for 1,937 buses from the Tamil Nadu government. It will deliver 1,701 buses by March 2026 and 236 by January 2027. The company also plans to localise electric vehicle supply chains, aiming to reduce battery costs. Their capex is expected to exceed ₹1,000 crore in FY26.
