Sterling reaches two-week high against the dollar

Sterling rose 0.3% against the dollar to $1.3438, its highest since October 7, as expectations for a dovish US Federal Reserve outweighed UK economic concerns. The euro gained vs the pound, while the dollar was on track for a third straight loss against the euro, due to US-China tensions and dovish Federal Reserve remarks.
