The BSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on October 22 for Balipratipada, following a one-hour Muhurat Trading session from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM on October 21. The exchanges will reopen on October 23. The Muhurat session marks the financial and spiritual beginning of the new Hindu Samvat year, celebrated through a symbolic act marking optimism and a prayer for prosperity.
