NSE Market Holidays and Trading Timings for Diwali 2025

The BSE and NSE will remain closed on Tuesday, October 22, for Balipratipada, and on Tuesday, October 21, for Diwali Lakshmi Puja, with a one-hour Muhurat Trading session from 1:45-2:45 PM. Markets will also be closed on October 18 for Dhanteras and October 19 as a weekend. Historical data shows the Sensex has closed higher in 14 of 18 Muhurat sessions, with gains in 2008 and 2024.
