Government plans revamp to expedite unclaimed shares and dividend payment

The government has prepared a blueprint for an upgraded portal to transfer unclaimed shares and dividends using AI, data analytics, and other features, aiming to settle claims within 15 days. The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) plans to launch an app and source data through an API, reducing reliance on the MCA21 platform, which has faced technical glitches.
