In India, MF investors must be KYC compliant to buy, sell, or switch units. The "Know Your Customer" verification process is quick and can be done online. To check status, visit a KRA website and enter PAN and captcha code. If "Verified," it's okay; otherwise, update information. Update is similarly simple: enter PAN, upload ID and address proofs, and submit for approval in 1-3 working days.
