Reddit sues Perplexity, others for AI-powered comment scraping

Reddit sued Perplexity AI, Oxylabs UAB, AWMProxy, and SerpApi in a New York federal court for allegedly scraping comments from millions of Reddit users for commercial gain. The suit claims Perplexity, maker of AI chatbot, used a Lithuanian data-scraping company to bypass Reddit's protections. Perplexity and SerpApi have vowed to defend themselves, while Oxylabs and AWMProxy did not comment.
