IBM Red Hat software sales see disappointing growth

IBM reported slower growth in core software units, including Red Hat, with 14% revenue increase in the hybrid cloud unit and 1% decline in transaction processing software, missing analysts' estimates. Total software revenue gained 10% to $7.21 billion. Shares declined 5.5% in extended trading after closing at $287.51. IBM still expects mid-teens growth for Red Hat.
