India builds first urea plant in Russia, securing fertilizer supplies

India plans to set up its first urea manufacturing facility in Russia with RCF, NFL, and IPL, aiming to secure long-term fertiliser supplies and reduce price shocks. The facility will produce over two million tonnes of urea annually. Negotiations are ongoing on land allocation, pricing, and logistics. The project is expected to be announced during Vladimir Putin's visit to India in December.
