Persistent Systems stops hiring H-1B workers from India

Persistent Systems' chief executive Sandeep Kalra stated that the mid-tier IT services firm has not filed any H-1B visa applications from India in the past 12 months, amid the US government's recent H-1B visa fee hike to $100,000. The company won't file new H-1B visas to avoid further visa policy impacts, and instead is shifting focus to onshore and nearshore delivery.
