US Federal Reserve Expected to Lower Rates this Week

The US Federal Reserve is expected to cut interest rates by a quarter point, thus bringing the benchmark Fed funds rate to 3.75-4% from 4-4.25%, in its upcoming meeting on October 29, in response to softer CPI data and signs of a job market slowdown. Traders also predict another rate cut in December.
