Rekha Jhunjhunwala invests big in midcap bank

Rekha Jhunjhunwala increased her stake in The Federal Bank by 2.3 crore shares (0.9%) in Q2 FY26, to total 5.9 crore shares (2.4%). This came before Blackstone announced a $705 million 9.9% stake purchase, positioning it as the bank's largest shareholder and strengthening its growth prospects. Federal Bank shares have risen 24% in one month and over 350% in five years.
