HAL partners with United Aircraft Corp to manufacture Russian SJ-100s

HAL and PJSC-UAC signed a MoU for SJ-100 aircraft production in Moscow on October 27, 2025. HAL will manufacture SJ-100 for domestic customers under the UDAN Scheme. This collaboration marks the first complete passenger aircraft production in India since the AVRO HS748. Over 200 aircraft will be required in the next decade for regional connectivity and international tourist destinations.
