Jio reaches 500 million subscribers, BSNL surpasses Airtel: TRAI report

Reliance Jio maintained its lead among telecom providers in India, adding 32.49 lakh mobile subscribers and 2 lakh new wireless customers in September 2025. Its total subscriber base crossed 50 crore for the first time at 50.64 crore. Private providers hold 92.10% market share, while BSNL and MTNL hold 7.90%. Reliance Jio also led in broadband subscribers with 50.57 crore subscribers.
