JSW Steel shares surge on renewed buying interest

JSW Steel surged 3.3% to Rs 1,224 on the NSE after Nifty Metal gained 6% in six sessions. The company reported a 307% YoY surge in PAT at Rs 1,646 crore in Q2FY26. Domestic sales increased 14% YoY and 6% QoQ to 6.33 million tonnes, while exports surged 89% YoY. Consolidated crude steel production hit a record high of 7.9 million tonnes.
