Nomura sees end to Fed rate cuts in 2025

Nomura now expects the US Federal Reserve to keep interest rates unchanged in December, after the Fed cut rates by 25-basis points following its Wednesday meeting. The brokerage revised its forecast to three 25-basis point cuts in 2026: March, June, and September. Jerome Powell said internal policy disagreements and limited federal data may hinder further cuts this year.
