Nifty drops below 26,000 amid Sensex tumble and global market volatility

The Nifty 50 index closed at 25,877.85, down 176.05 points or 0.68%, while Sensex fell 0.70%. The market breadth was in favour of bears, with 1,808 shares advancing and 2,167 declining. Healthcare, financial services, and pharma stocks led the decline, while Nifty Realty was the only gainer, inching up 0.13 percent.
