FPIs bring $1.6 billion to Indian stocks after 3-month hiatus

Indian equity market received a boost in October as foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) made a comeback, purchasing $1.65 billion worth of Indian stocks after three months of being net sellers. This is attributed to valuation comfort, earnings improvement, and the domestic growth story fueled by the GST rate rationalisation, leading to a 6.6% GDP growth forecast by the IMF for 2025-26.
