India's BPCL replaces Russian oil with UAE's Upper Zakum in December

Bharat Petroleum Corp bought 2 million barrels of Upper Zakum crude from Abu Dhabi to replace Russian oil after US sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoil. The refiner purchased the cargo to be loaded in December. BPCL hopes to buy Russian oil from non-sanctioned entities for half of its 14.66 million barrels monthly spot market supply.
