Markets stabilize with mixed stock performance, Nifty near 25,800

Indian equity benchmarks closed Monday's trade with mixed results. The Nifty 50 rose 41 points (0.16%) and the Sensex gained 40 points (0.05%). Nifty Bank surged 325 points (0.56%), while BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap rose 294 and 382 points respectively. Top gainer was Shriram Finance (6.18%), followed by several other companies, while Maruti Suzuki lost 3.4%.
