Household wealth drops by Rs 2.6 lakh crore in Q2

India's household equity wealth declined by approximately Rs 2.6 lakh crore in Q2 FY26, resulting in total holdings of around Rs 84 lakh crore. Despite this, cumulative wealth accretion since April 2020 remains robust at Rs 53 lakh crore, driven by strong market performance and rising investor participation, with 18.75% household ownership at a 22-year high.
