Amazon cut 660 jobs in Manhattan in October, primarily corporate employees, with two locations being the most affected: 233 layoffs at 450 W 33rd St and 182 at 424 Fifth Ave. The 14,000 corporate job cuts announced were attributed to culture misalignment, not cost-cutting or AI adoption, and are part of a bigger plan to cut around 30,000 corporate jobs.
