India's foreign investor exposure reaches 15-year low

India's foreign institutional investors reduced their ownership in NSE-listed companies to 16.9% in the September quarter, the lowest level in over 15 years. FPIs pulled out $8.7 billion, with Nifty 50 and Nifty 500 seeing a sell-off. Domestic mutual funds' ownership rose to 13.5% in Nifty 50, and DIIs surpassed FPIs' ownership for the fourth consecutive quarter, with a 21-year gap.
