AstraZeneca signs Hyperkalemia drug deal with Sun Pharma

AstraZeneca Pharma India partnered with Sun Pharmaceuticals to market and distribute Sodium Zirconium Cyclosilicate (SZC) for hyperkalemia treatment in India under brand names Lokelma and Gimliand. This aims to accelerate patient access to an innovative hyperkalemia treatment with approximately 50% of patients with chronic kidney disease and 42% with heart failure affected by the condition.
