Tata Power to invest ₹1,572 crore in 1,125 MW Dorjilung hydro project

Tata Power signed commercial agreements with Druk Green Power Corporation for the 1,125 MW Dorjilung hydroelectric power project in Bhutan. Tata Power will hold a 40% stake and invest ₹1,572 crore. The project, costing ₹13,100 crore, aims to increase clean energy capacity in Bhutan and support regional energy security. Commissioning is expected by September 2031.
