Torrent Pharma acquires control of JB Pharma, shakes up leadership

Torrent Pharmaceuticals has completed its ₹11,917 crore acquisition of JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, buying a 46.39% stake at ₹1,600 per share. The deal gives Torrent promoter control, with board and leadership changes. Aman Mehta has been appointed MD of JB Pharma, along with induction of three new directors from January 21, 2026.
