Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) major Marico Ltd acquires majority stake in premium popcorn brand 4700BC from PVR Inox for Rs 226.8 crore, valuing the company at Rs 243 crore. The deal marks a 40x jump in valuation since PVR's initial Rs 5 crore investment in 2015. Marico's share price rose 0.3% after the announcement.
