DRDO shortlists Tata, L&T, Bharat Forge for AMCA prototype

DRDO has shortlisted three bidders to design and build prototypes of India's Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), a fifth-generation stealth fighter, including Tata Advanced Systems Ltd, a Larsen & Toubro-Bharat Electronics Limited consortium, and a Bharat Forge-BEML Data Patterns consortium. The programme aims for production of over 125 jets with induction into the Indian Air Force by 2035.
