GMDC sees 12% share surge, market value rises Rs 2,000 crore

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) shares rallied over 12% on Friday, adding over Rs 2,000 crore to its market capitalization, driven by optimism and the company's addition to LSEG's FTSE Global Equity Index Series and a partnership with NMDC to explore rare earth opportunities in Gujarat. GMDC's shares jumped to Rs 599 apiece, 8% away from its 52-week high.
