Flipitmoney
Tata Steel shares fell 2% to around ₹190–₹194 after receiving a ₹1,755.10 crore demand notice from the Jharkhand mining department for alleged excess coal extraction. The notice alleges over-extraction of 16.24 million tonnes at the West Bokaro Colliery between FY2000-01 and FY2006-07. Tata Steel is contesting the penalty, calling it unjustified, and plans to seek legal recourse.
