Dealer's Diary
Market bounced back after a fall of three trading sessions. Nifty climbed
up nearly 1% (97 points) to close at 10715 and Sensex closed above 35k
(up 293points) . Positive global cues, impressive quarterly results and
fall in G-Sec yield lifted market. PSU Banks, Auto, Metal and FMCG
stocks witnessed smart gains while Tech stocks saw profit booking.
Pharma stocks were major losers today. US market gained over 1% and
European market opened on a strong note on account of impressive
economy data reported by US. Metal stocks gained after increased base
metal prices on LME of Aluminum, etc.. PSU Banks gained after media
news that the RBI likely MTM exempttion on G-SEC to boost bank profit
and RBI to infuse Rs100bn through OMO route on 17th May. There was
only concern in the market that Brent Crude surged 3% to a high above
$75/bbl and USDINR increased to one year high above 67. Exide
Industries surged 6% to close at all time high of Rs263 as the company
announced impressive Q4 result. Among the Banking stocks, ICICI Bank
gained 2% to close at Rs290 ahead of quarterly result today. Among the
PSU Banks like SBI, Bank of Baroda, PNB, Union Bank, OBC gained 2-4%.
Auto stocks like M&M gained 4% to close at all time of Rs886 on
expectation of normal monsoon which will improve demand. FMCG
stocks like Jubliant Food gained nearly 2% to close at all time high of
Rs2605.

Technical Outlook
Nifty index opened positive and sustained buying was seen throughout
the trading session to settled near day's high. It finally negated it lower
highs- lower lows formation on daily scale and formed a Bullish Candle
which means buying was witnessed at lower levels. Now till it holds
above 10680, it can extend it up move towards 10780 then 10800 zones
while a hold below 10680 could dragged it towards 10638 then 10600
zones.

Nifty future closed positive with the gain of 0.78 % at 10742. On the option
front, Maximum Put OI is at 10500 followed by 10600 strike while maximum
Call OI is at 11000 followed by 10800 strike. We have seen Put writing at
10600 and 10700 strikes while Call unwinding is seen at all immediate strike
prices which gives room for further up move. Option data suggests an
immediate trading range between 10650 to 10850. India VIX moved up by
2.94% at 13.64. Built up of long position were seen in Exideind , Jublfood,
Apollotyre, Federal Bank, Pcjeweller, DCB Bank, AmaraBattery and Bank
India while shorts were seen in Wockpharma, Tataelxsi, Concor, IGL, Ajanta
Pharma, STAR and Lupin.
