Keltech Energies Limited, formerly known as 'Karnataka Explosives Limited' was incorporated in August, 1977. The Company's name was changed to Keltech Energies Limited on September 5, 1997. The Company is engaged in the manufacture of Industrial Explosives and sale of Perlite & Perlite based products.The Company is part of the USD 300 million Chowgule Group having interests in mining, shipping, ship building, industrial salts, automobiles, construction chemicals, iron ore, pelletization, industrial gases, explosives, expanded perlite and exports. It is a globally preferred technology provider in the area of low temperature cryogenic insulation of LNG, Ethylene, Propylene, Butane, Propane, Ethane, LOX, LIN, LAR, Ammonia, Cold boxes and other cryogenic equipment. The company operates at Vishwasnagar in Udupi district of Karnataka, Waidhan and Jamudigram in Sidhi and Shahdol districts respectively of Madhya Pradesh, and Chrapur & Nagpur in Maharastra. The Company has set up its third SMS plant in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, and commenced operations therein.The Company has broad-based its customer profile to include the non-coal sector, thus catering to a prestigious clientele in the mining industry including majors like KIOCL, NMDC, HCL and the steel giant SAIL. Key areas of operation include: Manufacture of explosives, cryogenic insulation, perlite filter aid, horticulture products as well as perlite products for the construction, refractory & foundry Industries.The Company imported the technology for emulsion explosives in 1988-89 from its collaborators, ETI Explosives Technologies International, US.Keltech offers a complete line of perlite processing systems including highly productive and efficient perlite expanders for site jobs with a highly experienced and disciplined team to ensure unmatched project service. In addition to equipment and systems, it provides consulting services in the planning and cryogenic insulation installation of expanded perlite and the evaluation of various perlite ore deposits. It undertakes pneumatic filling of Factory supplied Expanded Perlite.Keltech's expertise in modern blasting techniques and technologies brings more value to blasting operation. The team of highly qualified and experienced blasting engineers and field specialists provide the best technical support and advice for any blasting problem from vibration control to complex blasting designs thereby optimizing blast results. It undertakes blasting contracts, vibration and air blast monitoring. The services of their team of experts can be called for at any time to address any blasting issues, underground or on surface. The logistics strength and experience allows the Company to develop on the spot solution and offer flexibility and meet diverse requirements.
