Monday Blues! Sensex drops nearly 200 points; Nifty below 22,250
Amid mixed Asian cues, Indian benchmark equity indices opened in the red on Monday, dragged down by banking, financial, and IT stocks. The BSE Sensex was trading 196 points or 0.27% lower at 72,946. Nifty50 was trading at 22,158, down 55 points or 0.25% at around 9.20 am. From the Sensex pack, Asian Paints, Titan, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, and Wipro opened with cuts, while L&T, and Power Grid.
